John | Chicago Media Newborn Photographer

The title of Chicago media newborn photographer makes me so proud of the accomplishments I have had over the course of the 7 years I have been doing newborn photography. I have photographed many journalists, and producers from different tv stations in Chicago and I was so honored when John’s parents had contacted me to do the newborn pictures of their newest addition, handsome John. John’s mother is ABC Chicago‘s news anchor Karen Jordan, and his father is NBC Chicago’s general assignment reporter Christian Farr! John came to see me on his 21st day of life, so he was a bit older than the usual newborns that I see, but he still was as sleepy as can be and the absolute most perfect baby ever! He had THE cutest chunky cheeks and baby rolls for days and was so cuddly! I want to say thank you again to Karen and Christian for trusting me with their memories and I can’t wait to see John again in the Fall!

Huge thank you to The Knitting Bitty, who makes all of my knitted clothes and wraps for my newborn clients, and she made this adorable teddy bear hat and lace shorts in the first image of John on the chest.

Mason | Oak Lawn Newborn Photographer

Meet handsome Mason, who came to see me on his 18th day of life! His mom and I decided to wait a little longer than the usual 10-12 day window to photograph him, because although he was born only a couple of weeks early, he was born close to under 5lbs so we wanted to give him a chance to gain a little weight. He still was teeny at his session in within the 5 pounds, but he was as sweet as could be! Smaller babies usually are more feisty as they are more sensitive to touch, but not Mason! He was a sweetheart from beginning to end and let me get thru every single pose, to give his mama a gorgeous gallery. The theme for his session was elephants, and his mom loved the colors yellow and gray so I made sure to incorporate her wishes and I love how it all came together! We finished with sibling and family shots, and I have to give a special shout out to Mason’s big sister, who did such an amazing job posing with her little brother; she was so proud of him and loves him so much!! What an amazing session…

Lane – Chicago Newborn Photographer

I am finally catching up on blogging, and have many cuties to show! This is gorgeous Lane, who came to see me on her 10th day of life. She was SO pretty!! She slept thru the first setup like a champ, but woke up shortly after, which made it a little more challenging but she did go back to sleep, but under one condition: she had to be held LOL. Makes it kinda difficult to pose and hold her at the same time 😉 so this just meant that I had to pull out my bag of tricks, and make her believe that she was still being held while on the beanbag! And it worked! She is her parents joy and is such a little angel, everyone is head over heels for her, including her big sister London, who got to take the cutest sibling pictures with her. We finished by getting a very special picture for her dad, he wanted an image of his baby girl resting in his hands, while showcasing his class ring from Michigan State, in a shot inspired by the picture I created 2 years ago with then Chicago Bear Jermon Bushrod with his Superbowl ring that he got with the Saints (*see that image HERE) Congratulations to this new family of 4!

Michael | Oak Lawn Newborn Photographer

Meet oh-so handsome Michael, that came to see me on his 9th day of life! Michael had a head full of beautiful dark hair, the sweetest little features, and was as sweet as can be! Not one ounce of resistance; he let me get pose after pose and was so relaxed! I only saw his eyes at the end of the session, when we did the parents shots, and the session was done in less than 2 hours, which is always a sign that I had the perfect baby to work with! His mommy brought in a few props for me to include in his shoot, and the one she really wanted to me to use was the American Flag that has been in their family for years, so she could include it as a birth announcement since he was born so close the the 4th of July. They melted when they saw how adorable he looked posed on it! I love creating memories for my clients, this is what it’s all about! I want to say a huge thank you to Michael’s parents for sharing him with me! He was pure perfection…

Scarlett | Chicago Custom Newborn Photography

Meet beautiful Scarlett, who came to see on her 9th day of life! Let me tell you, she was the *absolute* sweetest baby ever!!! It is very seldom that I have babies in the studio that smile a lot. Scarlett was an over-achiever and gave me so many, especially when she was being held by her mommy and daddy, it was instantaneous! As soon as she felt them, she smiled. I couldn’t believe it. She is such a precious, special little girl, and I think she knows it! She is surrounded by so much Love and I know that was why she was such a great baby to work with; she was so relaxed! I absolutely loved every minute of having her in the studio.
