Princess | First Birthday Cake Smash in Chicago

Happy birthday, princess Grace! I can’t believe how fast a year has gone by! Grace’s mom is Marley Kayden from WGN’s Chicago’s Best TV and she brought little Gracie in for her newborn session last year (you can see photos here) and I was so happy I got to see her again! Marley wanted a princess theme for her baby girl, and absolutely wanted the carriage that I photographed Grace to be used again and it was so cute! Grace was such a sweetie, so full of smiles! Another fun birthday cake smash in Chicago in the books!

Grace | Celebrity Newborn Photographer in Chicago IL

Meet adorable Grace, who came to see me in her third week of life! At 21 days old, she was at the cutoff that I usually take newborns, but being born under 5lbs, her mom, NBC Chicago traffic anchor Marley Kayden preferred to wait a little longer before getting her photos done, something that I absolutely understand and also encourage when the babies are born underweight. And in these cases, when the teeny babies come see me around 3 weeks, they are still just as sleepy, and Grace was no exception. She was a rockstar sleeper!

Meet adorable Grace, who came to see me a couple of weeks ago.. I mean, look at her hair!!! She is absolutely divine. I first her mommy, ABC 7 Chicago news reporter Jessica D’Onofrio, 2 years ago, when I did her maternity and newborn session for her oldest son. What an honor it was for me to have been chosen once more as her photographer for little Grace. Grace was pure perfection, looking like a real American Girl doll with all of that dark gorgeous hair, she slept the entire time and was a joy to work with! Big brother Jack wasn’t present for the family photos portion, but I still was able to get the same shots of Grace with her parents, as I did when he was a baby, and her gallery was so perfect! Huge thank you to Grace’s parents for trusting me with their memories once more, and congratulations to this new family of 4!

Joshua | Chicago Professional Athlete Newborn Photographer

Meet handsome Joshua Jr, who came to see me on his 11’th day Earth side! I have known his mother since the beginning of my career as a newborn photographer, because her oldest boys, who are now kindergartners, were my very first set of twins! So when I found out that she was expecting again and wanted to hire me once more I was so honored, because I would also get to see Aston and Lawson again! This time though was all about Joshua Jr! Joshua’s father is WR Joshua Bellamy from the Chicago Bears, and my client had told me beforehand that she loved the color orange, and also wanted Football to be incorporated in the session, so I enlisted the very talented The Knitting Bitty to make Joshua Jr the cutest custom lace mohair football set, it was just too cute! Joshua wasn’t much of a sleeper, but he was an extremely chill baby so he let me pose him awake! This was a fun session. Huge thank you to his parents for choosing my studio to capture Joshua in all of his newness!

John | Chicago Media Newborn Photographer

The title of Chicago media newborn photographer makes me so proud of the accomplishments I have had over the course of the 7 years I have been doing newborn photography. I have photographed many journalists, and producers from different tv stations in Chicago and I was so honored when John’s parents had contacted me to do the newborn pictures of their newest addition, handsome John. John’s mother is ABC Chicago‘s news anchor Karen Jordan, and his father is NBC Chicago’s general assignment reporter Christian Farr! John came to see me on his 21st day of life, so he was a bit older than the usual newborns that I see, but he still was as sleepy as can be and the absolute most perfect baby ever! He had THE cutest chunky cheeks and baby rolls for days and was so cuddly! I want to say thank you again to Karen and Christian for trusting me with their memories and I can’t wait to see John again in the Fall!

Huge thank you to The Knitting Bitty, who makes all of my knitted clothes and wraps for my newborn clients, and she made this adorable teddy bear hat and lace shorts in the first image of John on the chest.
