I am so lucky to do what I do and get to create such beautiful images for my clients! This gorgeous mama came to see me and brought her inspiration photos with her (all inspired by Lola Melanie); she wanted bold, yet elegant, and wanted to celebrate her bump and I was happy to oblige, she was absolutely stunning! I am honored that I will get to meet her little bundle of joy in a few short weeks!
Meet adorably handsome Kyrie, who came to see me a couple of weeks ago, on his 11th day of life! He was SO yummy!!!! He and I had to get to know each other a bit, very early on I noticed that he loved to be cuddled, and every time I would put him down to pose him, he’d be fussy and wake up! Once I caught on to what he liked, I just would snuggle him, then put him down to take a picture, then pick him back up, to put him back down on the beanbag again, and so on and so forth! Not my usual approach, but whatever works to make my teeny clients happy is what I do! And he seriously gave my like 8 smiles total! And he really loved that adorable teddy bear that I got from The Knitting Bitty! That was when he flashed the most smiles! What a little charmer he was! I know he will have his mommy wrapped around his pinky finger for sure! Capturing smiles like the ones Kyrie gave me makes me love my job even more, and everyday I count my blessings that this is my job!

I love maternity sessions. First, because obviously I get to create memories for my clients of their pregnancy, something that they can never get back, but also because they allow my clients and I to meet prior to the newborn session, and this puts them directly at ease when they come back to me with their baby, and the newborn sessions are always perfect. In a few weeks I will get to meet and photograph this beautiful mommy-to-be’s new baby boy, and I can’t wait! This couple was so nice and sweet, and their love for one another was visible and palpable. What a lucky baby, this baby will be!
